New Blog on Children's Books

I have started a new blog called The Children’s Hour dedicated to reviews and recommendations for children’s books. Parents are often asking about good books to read to their children (and it is a good thing for pastors particularly to be ready to give guidance here), so I decided to post the reactions of myself and my boys to the books we read together. I have put up a few posts so far and will continuing posts from books we have read in the past as well as post books as we read them. I hope it will be a useful resource.

Well done old chap! I think this will be an excellent resource for all of us as we desire to read great books to our children. I am especially grateful for your reviews. Far too often we pick up a book that looks good, but ends up to be a sour one. Thanks for pointing us in the right direction! When you have a chance, put up some review of a couple of princess ones...he he he, I know you read those too! : )

Thanks, Ray! I think that there's nothing more important than the books that people read to and with their children. Thanks for making it easier for people (I try to do this with my own website, too - http://jkrbooks.typepad.com). I will be checking back!

Thanks for the encouragement.
Thanks for stopping by Jen. I enjoyed your site.
MArk, I am sure your comment is to be read with an empahsis on the 'old' in 'old chap'! I'll see if I can find some recommendations for the girls. :)

I may link from our church website (pogc.net) to this new site to help young parents, if that's ok with you. Also, what do you know about Jim Cromarty's A Year With Your Children in the Bible (Evangelical Press)?

No problem, Brett. That would be great. I hope it can be of help to parents, so your link would be great.

Oops, I forgot to respond to your other question, Brett. I have not had a chance to see Cromarty's book yet. Sorry.
