The 2007 Bibles and Bible Reference Survey Article which I mentioned in the previous post is now available online here. Due to space I was not able to say a lot about each book, but I aim to give an overall feel for what has come out in the past year in each area and which books might be helpful in specific ways.

That is very informative, thanks! Maybe wisdom starts not with what books not to read but with what books not to buy! You mentioned Dr. Vickers' book. I recommend all SBTS students to take any clas you can with him. There are many noted scholars there but don't miss out by not taking a class with Dr. Vickers. Dr. Vickers also introduced me to R. T. France in a class on Mark. France's commentary on Matthew must be my next purchase!
Thanks
